The wisdom of near death experiences pdf

Would you be surprised if I told you that a Near Death Experience is nothing more than a spiritual experience? What if I give you enough evidence to that indisputable truth, doing so without theological ties, this time around?

Throughout this book I will take you on a spiritual journey, as I was taken, and I will walk you through the process of understanding what a near-death experience truly is, how divine intervention works, how perception plays a significant role while exploring the other side, and how an Out of Body Experience takes place.

Ultimately, I'll leave you with some words of wisdom from the Collective Forces of Knowledge and Wisdom to help you embrace spirituality once you learn to identify your true identity. I will explain, with easy to understand analogies, what takes place, how it takes place, what to expect, and how to prepare yourself for the journey.

After all: There is no mystery in life Later, he discovered he had stage IV lung and bone cancer--so advanced that his spine collapsed. Miraculously, he survived once again, and this second close call taught him even more about living, loving, and how to find purpose in his life. Voyage of Purpose brings readers right into the heart of the near-death experience, including the sensations of dying, being surrounded by the light, and meeting the Soul Family.

Imagine a dream in which you sense an intense feeling of presence, the truest, most real experience in your life, as you float away from your body and look at your own face. You have a twinge of fear as memories of your life flash by, but then you pass a transcendent threshold and are overcome by a feeling of bliss.

Although contemplating death elicits fear for many people, these positive features are reported in some of the near-death experiences NDEs undergone by those who reached the brink of death only to recover.

Death, even for a moment, changes everything. In this book, Jacob's near-death experience as a child ripped an opening between him and the spirit world.

He lived, but was forever changed. As he grew, darkness and light led him on a roller coaster ride of turmoil, loss, discovery, and renewal. He now shares this mystical journey with those brave enough to explore the "other side," understand the beings there, and hear the wisdom gleaned. He faces the question of the hereafter, looks at life lessons, and examines what a connected awareness can mean to the human experience.

What can I expect to read in this book? Cecilia Over the horizon Always in all ways. Many of us fear dying, but what if we have nothing to fear? What if so many near-death experiences NDEs are coming to light now to reassure us there is life after death?

Dr Joanne Coyle is a medical sociologist with twenty-five years' experience of researching patients' attitudes, beliefs and behaviours. After carefully examining over four hundred NDE accounts, she has reached the astonishing conclusion that by lessening our fear of dying, NDEs serve an even greater purpose.

I really wanted to understand death so that I could help future patients and ensure that no one else had to go through what that patient had. For the more technical and scientifically orientated reader I have already published an academic book which has the full details of my research methods, results, statistics, discussion and conclusion.

As my lectures have been so well attended, especially the public ones, it is apparent that there is a real interest in this subject and both mthe general public and healthcare workers have a thirst for knowledge in this area. I was totally unprepared for all the attention my work received, and shied away from the publicity as much as possible as I found it to be quite unnerving. Wherever I go, people want to know more about my research. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of misconceptions regarding the research I have undertaken, very often being associated with the concept of life after death.

I want to make it clear that I am not trying to prove or disprove an afterlife — what I have been trying to do is gain a greater understanding of the dying process so that care for dying patients can be enhanced. Obviously, what I have written about the encounter with the dying patient at the beginning of this introduction cannot begin to express the depth of emotion that I felt that night. I have spared you the full details of what he had to endure. The connection I made with that man in is what continues to motivate me to persevere with my research to this day.

Although the research that I undertook in the hospital predominantly investigated NDEs that occurred during cardiac arrest, NDEs can occur in other contexts, which will also be described. Over the years I have gathered hundreds of examples of NDEs from members of the general public who have contacted me.

I have included a number of examples but deciding which ones to add was very difficult as I have so many interesting cases on file and each one is of value. The testimonies appear in their original form and have not been altered except for spelling corrections and removal of names — most of the people preferring to remain anonymous.

It seeks to bring these experiences to a wider audience and give examples of NDEs and, I hope, convey why these experiences are more than mere alleged hallucinations and are something that we can all learn from. I hope you will be able to engage with these experiences and gain a greater awareness of all the complexities that they encompass. More importantly, I hope you will think twice if ever you find yourself in the company of someone who has been brave enough to discuss their NDE and that you will respond with respect, whatever your personal perspective.

It has been a real privilege to have been in a position where I have been able to learn so much from the patients I have cared for throughout my career, as well as the patients who formed the basis for my study and from the people who have shared their NDE with me. There is something very humbling about being in the presence of someone who has had an NDE and I consider it a true honour that all of these people have shared such an intensely emotional and personal experience with me.

For any sceptical reader, I would suggest not just taking the NDE at face value but to try to get a deeper understanding and engage with the full range of experiences of this very complex phenomenon before making any judgements. Especially I would recommend sitting down and just listening to several people describe their NDE — it is one thing to read about NDEs and it is quite another thing to be in the presence of an NDE while they recount their experience.

The crucial point I want to make with this book is that NDEs undoubtedly occur and have very real, life-changing effects on those who have them. Further to that, the wisdom gained during the NDE can be life enhancing and have hugely positive effects on those who have not experienced an NDE — all we have to do is take notice and hear what these people have to say. By trying to pathologize the NDE we are missing out on very important insights.

Paradoxically, the biggest thing I have learned since undertaking my research is not about death but about life. With our current technology and consumerist, materialist way of life, we have forgotten the most important thing — how to live.
